Jacksonville/Amelia Island Fishing

Local guide Capt. Ron Schurr says redfish are beginning to school in good numbers in creeks off the ICW during low tides. Light jigs tipped with shrimp or mud minnows working the best.
The best top-water plug action of the year for sea trout and reds is underway in the ICW from the JTB Bridge to Nassau Sound during incoming tides. He recommends Rapala "Skitter Walks" and MirrOlure "Top Dogs." Lipped diving plugs like the Bomber "Swim'N Image" are tallying redfish near spartina grass edges during flood tides. Small sheepshead are being caught near ICW channel markers.Jacksonville Fishing Forecast:

Fishing Forecast:
Expect redfish and trout to be schooled up in very large numbers from now until April. Winter is the best season for inshore fishing!

Jacksonville Backwater fishing is on fire!

Incredible backwater fishing for huge numbers of Redfish, Seatrout and Blackdrum. The cooler water temperature creates outstanding sight fishing for schooling redfish. The trout and black drum are stacked up in the deeper turns in the backwater creeks and estuaries.
