Capt. Ron Schurr has been taking good numbers of heavy sea trout in the lower St. Johns River and the Intracoastal Waterway south to St. Augustine. He recommends anglers work deep drop-offs, points and docks during hard-running tide phases. Lipped diving plugs, Rapala “Skitter Walk” top-water plugs and live mullet take trout.
